Every year in Cleveleys, on November 5, we come together to celebrate Bonfire Night, all over the county of Lancashire we gather around the bonfire.
Over the years, the Bonfire Night has become an annual event because of it's incredible festivities.
But what is it that makes people love these celebrations so much?

The main reason why Guy Fawkes tried to assassinate King James I is that it is a way to celebrate the failure of that attempt.
In 1605 this happened and people have celebrated Bonfire Night ever since.
There was a lot of anger against the king at that time, since he was seen as being anti-Catholic.
Robert Catesby and Guy Fawkes were Catholics who believed that an armed struggle would bring Catholicism back to it's rightful place.
The two people came up with a plan to blow up the Palace of Westminster.
The plan was to assassinate the king when he was in attendance.
A conspiracy member sent a letter to the parliament after he got cold feet.
The conspirators were taken into custody when they learned about the plan.
The Parliament made a public statement and shared that the conspirators were caught and punished.
The Parliament decided to light up bonfires on the 5th of November because it is a day to be thankful.
It eventually led to the Bonfire Night.
Throughout the UK, there are Bonfire Night activities.
Despite the fact that its origins are sinister, the event has become a community-focused event over the years.
The celebration was renamed at the beginning of the 20th century by firework manufacturers because it was focused on having fun.
