Every year in Winterbourne, on November 5, we come together to celebrate Bonfire Night, all over the county of Gloucestershire we gather around the bonfire.

Some people cook potatoes wrapped in foil, as well as marshmallows or sausages. There’s also a traditional cake that people eat on the Bonfire Night, named the Parking Cake. There is syrup, ginger, oatmeal and treacle in this cake, and it is very delicious.
• Many people in the UK burn an effigy, a homemade model of a man, similar to a scarecrow. The effigy is usually made of straw or paper and stuffed with old clothes.
• The tradition of "Penny for the Guy" is an interesting one. Kids used to take homemade Guy effigies on the street in the days leading up to Bonfire Night to ask for money to buy fireworks. In some parts of the world, you can find kids that blackened their faces, a testament to what Guy Fawkes did when he was about to blow up the Parliament.
• Some of the largest fireworks displays can be found in the biggest cities. Even in rural areas, you are bound to find bonfires and firework displays.

Which are the most popular foods during Bonfire Night?
